Sofitel London Heathrow has announced the appointment of Carl Stockenström as Executive Head Chef, with a remit that includes overseeing the hotel’s four food and beverage outlets, including its 3 AA Rosette French fine dining restaurant La Belle Epoque.
With over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Carl joins Sofitel London Heathrow from the St. Regis W & Westin Hotel in Dubai where he was Executive Chef. Carl has also held Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage positions at the Ritz-Carlton, Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, the Radisson Royal in Dubai and oversaw the launch of The Address Dubai Marina in 2008.

Sofitel London Heathrow’s dining portfolio includes the 3 AA Rosette La Belle Epoque, Le Bar Parisien, Vivre, and Tea 5 Salon. It is an award-winning purpose-built luxury conference and leisure hotel directly connected to Terminal 5 via a covered walkway, with 605 stylish guestrooms and a luxury spa and 24-hour gym.
The hotel provides business travellers and conference delegates with 45 flexible meeting rooms, including the Arora Suite which can accommodate up to 1,300 people for a theatre style conference. Additional facilities allow delegates to hire separate office spaces as well as serviced reception areas.
Sofitel London Heathrow is owned and operated by The Arora Group under a franchise agreement with Accor Hotels.
