The name Kinaara draws inspiration from the Hindi meaning of ‘on the shore of, or on the edge of a riverbank and offers diners the chance to savour and enjoy a plethora of rich and comforting flavours from across India and relax in the restaurant's stylish gold and purple hues complemented by the most breathtaking views of the River Thames and London's Canary Wharf. With an impressive background of work in some of India and London’s signature contemporary Indian restaurants including the Radisson in NewDelhi, Taj Hotel and The Cinnamon Soho Restaurant and Bar in London where he co-authored the bestselling culinary book ‘The Curry – Classic and Contemporary’ by celebrity Chef Vivek Singh, his imagination, creative flair, confidence and imagination in the kitchen has grown exponentially. As part of the award-winning luxury dining offering at InterContinental London - The O2, Kinaara aims to transport diners as far back as the 14th century to regions of India where innovative dining originated from resourceful, creative cooking. The menus have been thoughtfully designed to promote a unique sharing concept that collectively encourages immersive dining that educates diners on authentic preparation methods such as spicing, cooking styles like tandoori grilling, staple accompaniments like dalmakhani, heeng jeera aloo as well as flourishes of exotic spices like carom seed, Kashmiri chilli and more.
