Hilton London Gatwick unveils £35m renovation

Hilton London Gatwick, owned and operated by the Arora Group under a franchise agreement with Hilton, has undergone an extensive renovation programme, positioning the Hotel as one of the leading properties at London Gatwick Airport.

The renovation extended to all areas of the hotel including a full upgrade to six hundred bedrooms including new bathrooms and fifty-five-inch Samsung TV’s, all restaurants and bars, leisure facilities and several meeting rooms. Additionally, to support the refurbishment of guest facing areas, the programme included a complete overhaul of the back of house areas and new sustainable engineering systems including new lifts and escalators, brand-new air-conditioning system as well as new boilers, new water tanks and a state-of-the-art hot water system. Guests will also benefit from the introduction of Digital Key.

Kara Monteiro, Cluster General Manager commented: “The Hilton London Gatwick has always been an iconic hotel in the Gatwick market and after Arora Group’s acquisition of the hotel in 2017, it was clear that major investment would be needed to cement the hotel’s position as one of Gatwick’s leading hotels. Whilst the pandemic was clearly devastating for the hotel industry, we took the opportunity, during the low demand period, to expedite the renovation programme. The result has been fantastic and its wonderful to hear the incredibly positive feedback we are receiving from both previous and new customers. Our team members, especially those who have been at the hotel for several years can once again be proud of their workplace”

Attached to the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport, Hilton London Gatwick provides both business and leisure guests easy access to the terminal. The meeting facilities attract considerable interest from local, national, and international clients due to the fantastic and convenient location. Additional facilities include: The Garden Restaurant, Charlie Fry’s Sports Bar, Amy’s Bar, Gymnasium with Technogym equipment.
